Golden Maifan (soft) Stone:

Golden Maifan Stone (soft stone) is a compound mineral rock which is non-toxic and harmless to organisms and has certain biological benefit. The main chemical composition of the medical stone is an inorganic aluminosilicate which contain over 18 micronutrients (minerals) including but not limited to (F) fluorine, metasilicic acid, (Sr) strontium and (Zn) Zinc.


In general Golden Maifan (soft) Stone provide:

  • Water purification (clean water) – Due to its high porosity, it absorbs impurities in water. 2-way regulating effect on water quality, soften hard water and maintain ph balance
  • Release multi-micronutrients to make healthier plants
  • Increase oxygen in the water

 

In soil mixing Golden Maifan (soft) Stone provide:

  • Increase permeability in soil and prevent compaction and reduce root suffocation
  • promote plants root faster, stronger and healthier roots system
  • Better stabilize top-heavy succulents or plants when compared with other porous volcanic rock



In top dressing Golden Maifan (soft) Stone provide:

  • Improve air circulation in the soil and wick moisture away
  • Reduce black rotten leaves and water stains in the bottom leaves when raining or watering from above
  • Prevent bugs laying eggs in the soil
  • Present a beautiful soft gold color

 

Usage in soil mixing for succulent:

For the general user, using size 2-4mm or 3-5mm Golden Maifan stone mix with succulent soil mix in 70:30 ratios, please adjust the mixing ratio according to potting preference and medium, climate and location. For the advanced user, succulent soil mix can be replaced with peat moss or coco coir.

Usage in top dressing

Lay size 3-5mm Golden Maifan stone on top of the soil, until the stone covers all the soil even under the bottom leaves and uses tweezers to space them accordingly.
